These terms govern your use of Forsight. We have kept them plain. The short version: Forsight is a planning tool for your personal use, it is not financial advice, and you can leave anytime.

Acceptance of these terms

Agreeing to the terms
By creating an account or using Forsight, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Section 02

What Forsight is

A personal planning tool
Forsight is a personal financial planning dashboard. It connects the accounts you choose to link and presents your net worth, cash flow, budgets, and long-term projections so you can plan for the future.
For your own use
Forsight is provided for your personal, informational use. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for the decisions you make.

Not financial advice

Informational only
Forsight is a modeling tool, not a financial, investment, tax, or legal advisor. Its projections provide direction, not certainty, and they depend on assumptions that may not hold. Consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.
Section 04

Who can use Forsight

Adults in the United States
You must be a U.S. resident and at least 18 years old to use Forsight. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Section 05

Your account

Keeping your account secure
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account. We offer two-factor authentication, and we recommend enabling it from Settings.
Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it current.
Section 06

Subscription and billing

Free trial
Forsight offers a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required to start it. You are not charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends to avoid any charge.
Plans and fees
After the trial, your plan renews automatically at the price shown at checkout: $9.99 per month or $99 per year. We may change prices, and we will give notice before a change takes effect.
Automatic renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future charges, and your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we keep your access for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If it is not resolved in that window, access ends.
Refunds
Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refundable. The free trial is provided so you can evaluate the service before any charge.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
Section 07

Acceptable use

What you agree not to do
You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to access other users' data, no interfering with the service's security or operation, no automated scraping, and no use that violates applicable law.
Section 08

Intellectual property

Our rights
Forsight, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Forsight LLC. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it.
Your data stays yours
You keep all rights to the personal and financial data you provide. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you, such as storing and displaying your data.

Linked accounts and third parties

Plaid
Account linking is powered by Plaid. When you link an account, your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's own end-user policies. Forsight receives read-only data and cannot move money or trade on your behalf.
Service providers
Forsight relies on third-party providers to host and run the service. Their availability can affect the service, and we are not responsible for outages outside our control.

Disclaimers and liability

Provided as is
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that projections will match real outcomes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forsight LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make based on the service.
Section 11

Ending your use

You can leave anytime
You can stop using Forsight and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Section 12

Changes to these terms

Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before continuing to use the service.
Section 13

Governing law

Michigan
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
